Easter bonnets in the park

Last week participants in the Active Ageing Biloela program put on their Easter Bonnets and attended an Easter Egg-stravaganza in the gardens of the Golden Park Retreat in Goovigen.
The rainy weather did not dampen spirits for the scavenger hunt and other egg-citing activities!

Community members in Biloela have been hugely supportive of  Active Ageing, which aims to normalise dementia and promote inclusivity.

The project includes education and awareness-raising activities in the area, inclusive social and supportive activities in the local community, and promotes working towards dementia-friendly recognition to local community organisations and small businesses. These activities have been shown to improve the inclusiveness and wellbeing of people living with dementia.

Active Aging Biloela is delivered by Blue Care and the Biloela Dementia Action Alliance members with funding from the Queensland Government department of Communities, Disability Services and Seniors.
