Support at Home Information Session Success

Pictured: Our Support at Home Information sessions have been a great success so far.

All your burning questions answered! A fantastic turn out to our Support at Home sessions as we help guide our clients and friends through the upcoming changes.

Support at Home is set to change the way government-funded home care works from 1 November 2025. At Lutheran Services, our client’s wellbeing is at the heart of everything we do and that will not change. We are here to guide clients, families and staff through every step of this transition.

To support this, we’re delivering 10 roadshows across Queensland in the next two weeks, led by Kerri Lanchester, our experienced Home Care Transformation Manager. These sessions will explain Support at Home, which is being introduced as part of the National Aged Care Reform.

The aged care reforms will change how government-funded care is provided and how the funding works, making home care safer, simpler and more focused on people’s individual rights, needs and goals.

Kerri and the team are ready to provide clear information, answer the burning questions and support clients, families and staff throughout this change.

Off to a great start

The information session series commenced on Monday 9th June and will run until Wednesday 18th June. Topics include how to apply for Support at Home, how it differs from a Home Care Package and more.

Support at Home, which is due to come start 1 November 2025, will change how government-funded in-home care works, making it simpler and more focused on people’s needs and goals.
