As Cyclone Alfred moves towards southeast Queensland, Lutheran Services is prepared to support our clients, residents, and staff during this weather event.
Current Status: All Lutheran Services locations remain open.
We’re prepared
Our disaster management plan has been activated to ensure the safety and wellbeing of everyone in our services. This includes:
- Working closely with local emergency services to prepare for heavy rainfall, strong winds, and elevated tides.
- Ensuring backup medical and food supplies are in place.
- Implementing staffing contingency plans and preparing transport and accommodation options if required.
- Preparing backup plans for IT systems and communications to ensure continued operations.
