Get to know me as your Client and Community Advisor
I really enjoy meeting people and connecting them with the care they need. In my role, I can help empower them to feel confident in their decision making.
I am lucky enough to bring my dog to work. This of course is always a crowd pleaser with residents and even families coming in with enquiries.
Something that can be very stressful for residents and families, is transitioning from hospital into care. To help make this transition easier, I got in touch with a local community group that supplies free clothing packs for all aged care residents coming into care straight from hospital, who are under guardianship orders. Trinder Park now participates in this initiative. These new residents coming straight from hospital feel comfortable and settled having fresh, clean clothing to wear until additional supplies are delivered to them. It’s something they won’t need to worry about and can provide them with a bit more peace of mind when they come into care.
Residents and their families are at the heart of everything I do. I am genuinely interested in who they are as people and their life stories. It’s important to me that they feel empowered and heard. I always make sure to listen to any concerns they may have and aim to answer any questions honestly and professionally.
I am fortunate to be part of the Logan City Council Seniors Network. It’s a fantastic community group that provides really helpful information to seniors in the area. I enjoy being a member and connecting with people at all different stages in their aged care journey.
It’s difficult to choose a favourite spot – Trinder Park has so many lovely spaces. I’m really lucky to work at a beautiful location in such a natural setting. Pop’s café is a great place to have a cup of coffee and listen to the native birdlife. I recommend trying the scones, they’re delicious!
