Aged Care visitation guidelines
Lutheran Services has continuously reviewed visitor arrangements for its aged care communities, as Government directions have changed.
These visitor guidelines are designed to keep our residents safe, whilst keeping vital connections with their loved ones.
In response to the latest Queensland Government’s Aged Care Direction, the release of a visitation industry code and feedback from our residents and families, we have revised our visitation procedure.
As a result, we are extending our visitation hours. We can now also arrange flexible visitation times outside of these hours in certain circumstances, as outlined in the industry code.
Families and friends will personally be advised of the changes in the first week of June.
We have also been working hard to ensure our residents stay connected online. We have provided free Wi-Fi and shared devices, and introduced a Bring Your Own Device program.
Our role to provide the very best care and support our residents’ wellbeing is paramount and we thank all families for their patience. We will continue to work together, take feedback on board, and above all, safeguard the people entrusted in our care.
