Update – Immanuel Gardens

August 2020

On  Monday morning three residents who live in The Terrace at our Immanuel Gardens service in Buderim were experiencing respiratory symptoms.

As a precaution  the residents have been tested for seasonal flu and COVID-19 and we are awaiting results. This precaution is in line with public health direction.

There are no known cases of COVID-19 on the Sunshine Coast, nor community transmission.

We will remain in close contact with family members of the residents throughout this time.

In accordance with established infection control processes for residential aged care, residents have been isolated and will remain under close monitoring until test results return.

At this stage we have closed The Terrace to visitors.

Residents in The Vista area at Immanuel Gardens are not required to lockdown.

Our team is working with the Sunshine Coast Public Health Unit and following procedures recommended by the Department of Health and the Communicable Diseases Network of Australia

Lutheran Services currently has no cases of COVID-19 at any of its 10 aged care services.
