Precautions taken at Trinder Park

July 2020

We are currently responding to a Queensland Chief Health Officer’s directive that all aged care services close to visitors in the Metro South Public Health Unit region which includes Logan.

To keep our residents, staff and communities safe, new visitation and staffing plans have been put in place at the Trinder Park aged care community in Woodridge.

The Trinder Park residential aged care community has been closed to visitors, extra screening will be performed and staff are no longer working across multiple sites.

Our team is following all directives and taking every step recommended by authorities to keep our people safe. Residents and staff will be able to interact within their local community area but not throughout the whole site. Communal dining areas will be temporarily closed.

All measures are precautionary, with no positive cases at Trinder Park.

We are unsure about how long these visitor restrictions will be in place. We will keep you updated.

We have been advised the Department of Health is performing contact tracing at the school, shopping malls and restaurants where the two COVID-19 positive Logan residents visited. We are also asking staff and family members to let us know if they have had close contact.

We will be encouraging and supporting family and friends to keep in touch with loved ones via phone or video calling. Our complimentary WiFi service has been upgraded at Trinder Park and we have implemented the Bring Your Own Device (or BYOD) program.

Our social and lifestyle activities will continue as we remain dedicated to providing the very best care and support for our residents.

For your information, the Australian Government has put in place an Emergency Leave program.  It means that your loved one can take leave from Trinder Park and live somewhere else for a while and Trinder Park will keep their place available. If you would like more information on that please call our Lutheran Services contact centre on 1800 243 935 or click here.

We would also like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the devoted team at Trinder Park for their care, dedication and service at this time.

If you have any enquiries please call 1800 243 935.
