COVID-19 Update 3 January 2022
COVID-19 Update 03 January 2022
Today we can report that there are 26 positive COVID-19 cases in our staff and 17 residents.
All positive staff and residents are currently doing well. To date, we are seeing a very low rate of serious illness as a result of COVID-19. Tabeel residents have very high rates of vaccination and all staff are double vaccinated.
We have been implementing our Outbreak Management Plan and COVID-19 Workforce Plan. We are blessed with a strong onsite team at Tabeel overseeing our response.
We are working very closely with senior representatives from the Department of Health and the West Moreton Public Health Unit to contain and manage the situation. These representatives have been attending our daily Outbreak Management Team meetings providing regulatory guidance as well as practical assistance such as securing adequate workforce and personal protective equipment. We are very grateful for their support and partnership.
Today our residents got some extra treats with ice cream and juice being the highlight. Our lifestyle team have supplied activity packs which they can use in their rooms. Our Chaplain has been delivering daily prayers and reflections.
We would like to acknowledge and say a special thank you to our Tabeel care staff and all Lutheran Services staff for their hard work and dedication as we navigate this situation.
We will continue to phone the nominated contact of the positive residents every day and continue our daily updates on this website.
Today we recorded 5 more positive staff and 1 more positive resident.
We have a total of 18 staff and 4 COVID-19 positive residents. Of the four residents, two are in hospital. We are still gradually getting results in from the testing of staff and residents on the 31st of December.
Zion Aged Care, Nundah
Today we have one staff member that has tested positive to COVID-19. We are happy to report that no more residents have tested positive. In total we have three staff and one resident positive to COVID-19.
Zion remains in lockdown. Our lifestyle team are actively working to ensure residents remain connected and engaged.
Immanuel Gardens, Buderim
There were no more positive cases today again.
More good news is that the staff member who recently tested positive for COVID-19 is resting at home and says they are feeling good.
We are still waiting on some test results and will update our residents, families and staff when they come through.
Immanuel Gardens continues to be locked down to visitors.
Contacting COVID impacted sites
Please continue to phone the service directly. However, please be aware should our office telephones be overwhelmed with enquiries, we have established a temporary 24/7 overflow contact centre to ensure your calls are always answered. This centre will be able to receive your call and answer most of your general queries. Should you need more personal information on how your loved one is going they will be able to take a message and ensure someone calls you back.
If required, we may phone nominated contacts to provide a timely update. This may come from a number you do not recognise.
