Aged care and disability accommodation visitor restrictions

September 2021

We would like to advise that due to the community transmission of COVID-19, the Queensland Chief Health Officer has announced that all aged care services and disability accommodation are closed to non-essential visitors until further notice in the following local government areas:

  • Brisbane City
  • Moreton Bay
  • Gold Coast
  • Logan

This means the following aged care services are now closed to non-essential visitors until further notice:

  • Zion aged care at Nundah,
  • St Paul’s aged care at Caboolture,
  • St Andrews aged care at Tallebudgera and
  • Trinder Park aged care at Woodridge

Residents may only leave for certain reasons, and increased use of PPE in line with the Moderate Risk Guidance is required.

Our Trinity disability accommodation on the Gold Coast and Karawatha accommodation at Woodridge are also closed to non-essential visitors. Residents continue to be able to leave their home, following the mask and social distancing rules.

In addition, the Chief Health Officer has mandated that anyone who works or lives in those local government areas cannot visit any aged care service in Queensland unless 14 days have passed since the person was in those areas.

This is an evolving situation, and we will update our communities when we are advised that these restrictions change.
